Slow Mails

It takes from Wednesday morning until Friday afternoon for a letter to go from Northville to Johnstown. It frequently requires two days for one to go from Gloversville to Johnstown. A letter was ten days in making the trip from Johnstown to Syracuse. Last winter we mailed a daily each day during the Smith trial, at Johnstown, to a Kingsboro subscriber. He received six at one time. It is not our place to locate the cause of these detentions, but we notice that the postmasters and deputies on the route ascribe them to the mail agents on the cards. It is time the matter is investigated.
