The Mayfield Historical Society has announced its upcoming spring and summer events and exhibition which will take place at The Rice Homestead, 328 Riceville Road in Mayfield unless otherwise noted.

There will be a general meeting of the Mayfield Historical Society on Monday, March 20th, at 6:30 p.m. at the Mayfield Presbyterian Church, 22 North Main Street, Mayfield, NY.

“The Past Beneath Our Feet” is on Monday, October 17th, 6:30 – 7:30 p.m. at the Mayfield Presbyterian Church, 22 N. Main St., Mayfield.

Mayfield Historical Society Welcomes Generous Donations

The Mayfield Historical Society was recently a recipient of a very generous grant from the Tim and Tina Delaney Family Foundation for the exterior painting and window glazing of The Rice Homestead which will be accomplished during the summer of 2023.

Mayfield Historical Society gets ready for their Annual Fall Harvest Cruise-In

The Mayfield Historical Society’s Annual Fall Harvest Cruise-In will be held Saturday, October 8th, from noon – 4 at The Rice Homestead, 328 Riceville Rd., Mayfield.

Presentation on the Future Great Sacandaga Lake Interpretive Center

The Mayfield Historical Society will present speaker Scott D. Henze, Director of Planning in Fulton County, who will discuss initial plans for the Great Sacandaga Lake Museum/Interpretive Center on Monday, August 22nd, at 6:30 pm at the Mayfield Presbyterian Church, 22 N. Main St., Mayfield.

As part of Fulton County’s Vision 2026 Development Strategy, Fulton County recently purchased a 37+/- acre parcel of land in the Town of Northampton for the site of the future museum/interpretative center. This project is in its early stages which includes meeting with local historians in Fulton, Saratoga and Hamilton Counties. The presentation is free and open to the public. Mayfield Historical Society Holds Ice Cream Social & Special Exhibit

The Mayfield Historical Society will hold its Annual Ice Cream Social on Thursday, July 14, from 6 to 8 pm at The Rice Homestead, 328 Riceville Road, Mayfield.  Local popular musician Aaron Mittler will perform.
