Mayfield Welcomes New Historian with Meet and Greet Event

On January 17th Eric Close became the new official Mayfield Historian replacing dedicated historian, Sandy Town, who had held the position for several years.

At this time the Mayfield Historical Society would like to invite the public to join them in a “Welcome, Meet & Greet” event for Eric Close on Monday, April 15th, at 6:30 p.m. at the Mayfield Presbyterian Church, 22 N. Main St., in Mayfield.

Attendees will hear from Close about his plans to continue the preservation of the history of our area as well as his new initiatives.  Guests will be able to engage in conversation with Close at the event as well.  Refreshments will be served.  For more information, please contact Mayfield Historical Society president Bob Suits at 518-857-2820.
