Airplane Tales with Jim Coulthart on Thursday, May 25th at 5:30 pm at the Herkimer County Historical Society, 406 North Main St, Herkimer.

Research conducted by Jim Coulthart, a local amateur military aviation historian. It is a collection of WW2 anecdotes, incidents, accidents with ties to the Upstate and Central New York area. Herkimer area resident Harold V. Shaul and his service in the Pacific Theater is among those to be showcased. Also to be included are tales of other men (and women) and their machines with names such as “Able Mabel”, “Getaway Gertie” ,“Hot Stuff”, “Pistol Ball”, “Genevieve”, along with many others.

Come see the Suiter Mansion all dressed up for the Holidays!!

Join the folks at the Herkimer County Historical Society on Saturday, December 17, 2022, from 10am - 3pm, at the Suiter Mansion on 400 N. Main Street Herkimer.

Santa will be arriving on a fire truck and will be available for pictures from 10am-12pm with one free picture per family. Additional photos can be purchased for 3 for $10 (cash only, please). There will be free crafts for kids and the gift shop will be open. Come ready to enjoy plenty of cookies at the annual cookie sale. Bring a food donation and you can get a free cookie!

There are so many things to do in New York during the holidays; the Radio City Christmas Spectacular, the lights at Saks Fifth Avenue, Christmas Markets, Broadway Shows, Ice Skating in Central Park, the Rockefeller Christmas Tree. The list goes on and on.

We will be dropping off at beautiful Bryant Park where they host their own spectacular Christmas tree, ice skating and shops and restaurants.
