The Russian History Museum in Jordanville, NY

Despite what the name may indicate, this site is a hidden gem encompassing not just Russia, but decades worth of immigrant culture and diaspora in the Mohawk Valley– From Romanov jewels to Serbian emigre icons and everything in between, the museum (on site at Holy Trinity Monastery in Jordanville) is a testament to art & culture through many lenses.

Their current exhibition, Mysteries and Odysseys, presents some of the remarkable stories told by the artifacts in the Russian History Museum’s collection: https://www.russianhistorymuseum.org/mysteries-and-odysseys/.

For those who can’t make in-person, the museum boasts an awesome YouTube library and stellar virtual lecture series: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCA61iLRqy8MpV_ggLx462-Q
