Patriots Day at Yellow Church Cemetery
On Saturday May 20, the twelfth annual Patriots Day ceremony was held at historic Yellow Church Cemetery in Manheim.
The well-attended event was co-sponsored by the Manheim Lutheran Church Association and the Little Falls Historical Society. Five members of the Historical Society spoke on various local history topics and two members of the Manheim group read poems directly related to Yellow Church Cemetery. The Astenrogen Chapter of the DAR placed a graveside wreath.
Colonial Era musician Robert Schmelcher provided musical accompaniment and local jazz musician extraordinaire Dr. Oscar Stivala played TAPS to conclude the most pleasant event.
