The Mayfield Historical Society will host a presentation by Ken Hurst and Carol Rio of Poughkeepsie, NY, entitled “The Past Beneath Our Feet.”
Monday, October 17th, 6:30 – 7:30 p.m. at the Mayfield Presbyterian Church, 22 N. Main St., Mayfield.

Hurst and Rio are members of Awesome Relics New England Metal Detecting Club in Brooklyn, CT; Nor’easters Metal Detecting Club in Stamford, CT; and Silver City Treasure Seekers in Taunton, MA. Hurst lived in the Mayfield area and has done extensive metal detecting work in the Mayfield, Northville, and Broadalbin area.
Hurst and Rio will have on hand interesting items that were recovered in our area as well as other areas and will explain what they tell us about our history.
