The Mayfield Historical Society is thrilled to announce the recent acquisition of an 1843 oil painting of Mr. Oliver Rice, the owner and builder of the 1810 Rice Homestead and his 1790 homesteading cabin on Riceville Road in Mayfield, New York.

National Historic Marker Day in Little Falls

Friday April 28 was National Historic Marker Day. The officers and directors of the Little Falls Historical Society marked this day by placing a new historic marker atop a previously installed marker pole at the site of the guard gate for the 1795 Western Inland Navigation Lock Canal.
