Author Don Williams to Speak at the Mayfield Central Presbyterian Church

Adirondack guide, lecturer, storyteller, and author Don Williams will present “Growing up in Glove Land” on Monday, April 20th, 6:30 p.m. at the Mayfield Central Presbyterian Church, 22 N. Main Street, in Mayfield.

Don Williams is an Adirondacker. He was born and raised in the Adirondacks and has never lived or worked more than five miles from the Adirondacks. Growing up at the ingress of the Northville-Placid Trail provided ample opportunity for him to experience the Adirondacks, its people, its history and folklore. Williams has authored more than 18 books on Adirondack and local history.

This Mayfield Historical Society presentation on April 20, 2026, will coincide with the release of his newest book “Growing Up in Gloveland” which will be available at the talk. Admission and refreshments are free of charge. For more information, please call president Bob Suits at 518-857-2820.
