PATRIOTS DAY EVENT THIS SATURDAY AT HERKIMER HOME

Saturday May 24, 2025 beginning at 1:00 PM

The Herkimer Home State Historic Site and the Little Falls Historical Society will co-host a Patriots Day event at Herkimer Home beginning at 11:00 AM on Saturday, May 24 beginning at 1:00 PM.

The Patriots Day event will be part of a Living History Day at the historic site. The Herkimer mansion will be open for tours and the museum and gift shop will also be open.

The Patriots Day program will feature a number of short addresses on various topics related to the Revolutionary War as it impacted the Mohawk Valley region. A rifle salute by Herkimer Home volunteers in militia attire, the laying of a commemorative wreath at the grave of General Herkimer by the Daughters of the American Revolution, time-period musical selections, and the playing of “Taps” by Dr. Oscar Stivala will round out the program.

The event is free and open to the public.
