Multiple Gloversville Stops on Sacandaga Valley Arts Network (SVAN) 10th Anniversary of Art Trails

GLOVERSVILLE, NY –  The Sacandaga Valley Arts Network (SVAN) is celebrating the 10th anniversary of its annual Art Trails event this weekend, August 16-17. The self-guided tour invites art lovers to visit galleries and studios across Fulton, Hamilton, and Saratoga counties to view and purchase work from local artists. This year’s event features several significant stops in Gloversville, highlighting the city’s growing arts scene.

WHAT: SVAN Annual Art Trails, celebrating its 10th anniversary.

WHEN: Saturday, August 16 – Sunday, August 17, 2025

WHERE: Various locations throughout Fulton, Hamilton, and Saratoga counties. Gloversville stops include:

  • Schine Memorial Hall (3rd Floor Art Room): A newly renovated space at Schine Memorial Hall, a Gloversville Downtown Revitalization Initiative (DRI) project, will highlight the work of Jack Horning, Don Williams, and Cheryl Bielli on Saturday, August 16.   • Glove City Lofts: The Glove Cities Arts Alliance (GCAA) will have a table at this newly developed artist-friendly housing complex, another DRI project. GCAA will display art in the windows of the Glove Gallery, a 2,000-square-foot exhibition space within the building and provide membership information. Artists are encouraged to apply for the apartments, as the application deadline is August 20, 2025. A lottery for qualified applicants will be held on September 9, 2025. The Glove City Lofts are designed to help artists grow and thrive in a supportive, community-focused environment and resident artists can exhibit work at the Glove Gallery.   • Micropolis Cooperative Inc.’s Art Gallery: Located inside the Mohawk Harvest Cooperative Market, this gallery will be a stop on the Art Trail on Saturday. Visitors can enjoy a diverse mix of local artistry, including painting, photography, and jewelry, while purchasing a coffee or smoothie. The Glove Theatre Youth Performance Slated for This Weekend
