Mayfield Historical Society Presents Strange History From Schoharie Crossing’s Erie Canal

Monday, August 18th, 6:30 pm, the Mayfield Historical Society will host David Brooks, Education Director at the Schoharie Crossing State Historic Site, as he presents strange bits of history that feature murder, mayhem, arson, accidents, and more on the Erie Canal at Schoharie Crossing.

This presentation uncovers aspects of the site’s history related to the canal, the railroad, and the people that otherwise may never have been known.
