Herkimer County Historical Society Announces January Programs
Herkimer, NY — The Herkimer County Historical Society invites the public to take part in two engaging programs this January, offering opportunities to explore family history and connect with a local author.
Genealogy Workshop
Have questions about your family tree? Whether you are just getting started or have hit a research roadblock, this workshop is the perfect place to be. Experienced researchers from the Herkimer County Historical Society will be on hand to offer guidance, tips, and direction to help participants uncover their roots.
Date: Monday, January 27
Time: 6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m.
Cost: Free for HCHS members; $5 for non-members
Evening With a Local Author
The Society will also host an evening with local author Kelly Maida. Guests are invited to join Ms. Maida as she discusses her books, what inspired her to write them, and how the writing process shaped her journey as an author.
Date: Tuesday, January 28
Time: 6:30 p.m.
Both programs are open to the public and will be held at the Herkimer County Historical Society at 406 North Main Street, Herkimer.
These events reflect the Society’s ongoing mission to preserve, share, and celebrate the history and stories of Herkimer County and its people.
