Fulton County Historical Society seeking Bicentennial-related items from the community for special exhibit
“From the Spirit of ’76 to America 250: American Memory and Commemoration in Fulton County,” this year’s special exhibit at the Fulton County Historical Society, explores the ways Fulton County commemorated the founding of America through newspaper articles, photos, oral histories, and other ephemera. It will take a look at how historical memory has shaped our community through the lens of America’s birthday, from 1776 to 2026, and the FCHS wants YOU to be a part of it!
The historical society is looking for people who are willing to loan Bicentennial related items to the museum for inclusion in this year’s special exhibit.
Preference will be given to Fulton County-specific items. To learn more, please visit https://tinyurl.com/FCHS250.
Fulton County Historical Society programs are made possible by the New York State Council on the Arts with the support of the Office of the Governor and the New York State Legislature.
