Living History event returns to the Fulton County Historical Society
Join us on Saturday, August 15th from 11am-4pm for Living History: The Great War. From 1914-1918, the world was thrown into total war in a way that it had never before seen. The experiences of the soldiers who served – from America, Germany, France, and elsewhere – were varied and complex. Join us at the museum for this special living history event, featuring a select group of re-enactors and historians who have delved deep into researching the lives and experiences of men from both sides of the conflict. The event is free, donations greatly appreciated!
The Fulton County Historical Society is located at 237 Kingsboro Ave. in Gloversville. Free street parking is available. Please visit fultoncountyhistoricalsociety.org for more information.
Fulton County Historical Society programs are made possible by the New York State Council on the Arts with the support of the Office of the Governor and the New York State Legislature.

The Gateway Theater-The Rialto | The Gateway Theater was built by a group of local businessmen in 1922, who had purchased a lot on North Ann Street, which was where an early pioneer settler, Eben Britton, had long ago operated a tannery. The theater became known as the Rialto Theatre in 1925. | Photo c. 1930
