Historical Society Fall Harvest Cruise-In Features Many Local Farm Goods

The Mayfield Historical Society will be hosting its Annual Fall Harvest Cruise-In on Saturday, October 3rd, from 12-3 pm at its historic museum, The Rice Homestead.

Not only will the event feature antique and hot rod vehicles from all over, but many local farm products will be available which includes the Mayfield High School Future Farmers of America, Brett’s Farm Stand’s Local Honey & Soap, Dutch Hill Farm maple syrup, apples and mums from Lakeview Orchards, chain saw carving demos and figures by MW Woodworks of Mayfield, farm animals, antique farm tractors, the local Daughters of the American Revolution, and a Meet & Greet table with the Mayfield Historian Eric Close.

Dan Lynaugh will be providing musical entertainment from 12:30 – 2:30 pm.  Hot dogs with Mayfield’s iconic Lee’s Snack Bar Secret Meat Sauce will be available along with cider donuts, apple cider, and other assorted refreshments for a cash donation. All antique, vintage, and hot rod vehicles are welcome and each will receive a complimentary hot dog and side. The first 50 to register will receive a commemorative dash plaque.

The historic Rice Homestead will be open for viewing with its current exhibit “The American Revolution in Mayfield.”  Admission is free for this event and all are welcome.  The address is 328 Riceville Road, Mayfield, NY. (GPS in Gloversville)
