Tractor Fest • Saturday-Sunday, October 8–9, 2022 • 10:00 am–5:00 pm • The Farmers’ Museum, Cooperstown, NY
COOPERSTOWN, N.Y.—Learn about the world of tractors and everything they powered on New York State farms at The Farmers’ Museum’s annual Tractor Fest, taking place on Saturday and Sunday, October 8–9, from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. See classic tractors, small engines, and other machinery – illustrating the growth of farming technology.
Over 60 classic tractors will line up for this year’s event representing several manufacturers including Farmall, Ford, Case, Oliver, Moline, and John Deere.
Several local tractor clubs will take part in this year’s event. On Sunday, see tractors parade throughout the museum grounds and both days find tractors at work in the fields. Take a wagon ride around the museum grounds–pulled by a tractor (see website for times). Watch demonstrations of a corn cutter and check out a display of large and small hit-and-miss engines.
Tractor Fest is a great weekend destination for families with many activities for children planned. During the event, life in 1845 continues throughout the museum’s historic village and farmstead. Don’t miss the Empire State Carousel, the museum you can ride. Watch expert craftspeople in the Blacksmith Shop, pharmacy, and the other historic buildings.
In the Main Barn, view the exhibit Growing Tomorrow’s Farmers which celebrates the role children played on family farms from the 19th century to the present. The exhibit features photographs of several families who live in the region.
Entry to the event is included with museum admission: $15 adults (13-64), $12.50 seniors (65+), $6 juniors (7-12), children 6 and younger and museum members are free.
