The Schoharie County Historical Society and host Richard Ball, NYS Commissioner of Agriculture and Markets presents, The Musicians of Ma’alwyck concert, “Gainsborough’s Secret Passion,” and a harvest dinner

Join the SCHS and our guest host, NYS Agriculture and Markets Commissioner Richard Ball, as we celebrate autumn’s arrival and the county’s rich agricultural heritage with a dinner featuring seasonal favorites. 

The evening will conclude with the Musicians of Ma’alwyck performing “Gainsborough’s Secret Passion: a concert of music by composers in the artist’s circle”. Thomas Gainsborough was widely considered to be one of Britain’s greatest artists of the late 18th century, well known for the portrait “The Blue Boy”. He was also a music lover and had friendships with some of the greatest musicians of the era including Johan Christian Bach and Karl Abel.
