Mayfield Historical Society to Present Program on The Great Sacandaga Lake Museum/Interpretive Center

The Mayfield Historical Society will present speaker Scott D. Henze, Director of Planning for Fulton County who will discuss initial plans for the Great Sacandaga Lake Museum/Interpretative Center on Monday, August 22nd, at 6:30 pm at the Mayfield Presbyterian Church, 22 N. Main St., Mayfield.  

As part of Fulton County’s Vision 2026 Development Strategy, Fulton County recently purchased a 27+/- acre parcel of land in the Town of Northampton for the site of the future museum/interpretative center.  This project is in its early stages which includes meeting with local historians in Fulton, Saratoga and Hamilton Counties.  The presentation is free and open to the public.  Refreshments will be served.  For more information, contact 518-332-0538 or visit www.facebook.com/ricehomestead.
