Magical Magnetic Trains!
SATURDAY, FEBRUARY 25TH, 10:30AM • FREE! SPACE IS LIMITED. REGISTRATION IS REQUIRED
Impossible! How could a train move with no engine or wheels?
Explore the science behind magnetic forces and magnetic levitation trains — also called maglev trains. These high-speed trains are used for transportation in cities all over the world! Using the engineering method, participants will experiment with toy cars and magnets to design their own model of a Maglev train. Then explore the museum’s exhibit on the Fonda, Johnstown, and Gloversville Railroad, including scale model that really works!
Perfect for kids in grades 2-5. This event is free, but space is limited and participants MUST pre-register. Sign up at the link above or by emailing ssaladino@fultoncountyhistoricalsociety.org.
This program is made possible through support from the Fulton County Board of Supervisors and County Historian.
