Join us for the inaugural Elizabeth Hearn Gleich Annual Lecture presenting independent scholar and author William Cross.

William Cross is the author of the recently released Winslow Homer: American Passage (2022) and the impressive catalog Homer at the Beach: A Marine Painter’s Journey, 1869-1880 (2019); Cross also served as curator for Homer at the Beach (Cape Ann Museum, Gloucester, MA, where he serves as Board Chair). Cross traveled to Canajoharie to study the Arkell Museum’s Winslow Homer paintings, selecting three paintings from the collection for the Cape Ann Museum exhibition Homer at the Beach.

The author will also sign copies of his book, which is for sale at the Arkell Museum & Canajoharie Library Shop.
